Arriving by Plane and Transfer to Krems an der Donau

When flying we recommend Vienna airport as a well connected travel node in Europe.

by Vienna airport taxi shuttle (recommended)
Vienna airport has a shuttle service center where you can book taxis as a group online. e.g. booking one car for 3 to Krems (one way) is ca. 135 Euro, a share of about 45 Euro per person. This is the most convenient way and can be booked beforehand online and allows also to book already a return ticket. This takes about 1 hour in one direction.
by train from Vienna airport
You can book a ticket online at Austrian Railway System web page. There is a train approx. every hour and it takes between 1h 38m and 2h 8m.
by car from Vienna sirport
You take the A4 in direction to the city center, then take the surrounding motorway A22 and continue all the way long to Krems an der Donau. Travel time approx. 1 hour, and 70 km (Route planner).
by mini-bus from Vienna airport
If you travel alone and cannot share a shuttle taxi we would organize for the alone travelers a 15 seater starting from Vienna airport arrival on 31.8. 18.00. In this case please contact the organiser rmess(at)iscn.com.
